100UP Off-Grid Solar joined the Off-Grid Living Festival on 6–7 April 2024 at Chiltern Racecourse and Recreation Reserve in north-east Victoria. The event brought together 9,400 participants from around Australia to explore practical approaches to off-grid living. Off-Grid Living Festival
For us, it was an opportunity to meet people from across Victoria and nearby New South Wales, show them the equipment and discuss what running a property without the grid involves.

Introducing Sigenergy’s Integrated Storage System
We displayed Sigenergy’s integrated energy storage system, giving visitors a closer look at its design and capabilities. The response was positive, with attendees particularly interested in how the components worked together within one coordinated platform.
Seeing the equipment in person made the discussion more practical. Visitors could look beyond individual battery and inverter specifications and consider how a complete system might fit their home or business.
Off-Grid Technology Working Across the Festival
The festival also put different power systems to work. The organisers reported using transportable solar and battery equipment, smaller solar systems for talks and entertainment, and an MG4 electric vehicle to power equipment in the Electrification Talks Tent. Grid electricity and diesel generation supplied other parts of the event.
That mix illustrated an important part of off-grid design: matching the power supply to the equipment being operated. A small presentation setup and a busy food vendor have very different energy requirements.

Practical Conversations About Living Off Grid
For rural property owners, off-grid solar is often a practical infrastructure decision. The distance to an electricity connection, the cost of extending supply and the property’s expected consumption all influence whether it makes sense.
The interest at our stand reflected those real decisions. Visitors wanted to understand the technology and what it could mean for operating their own properties.
Thank you to everyone who stopped to speak with us, and to the organisers for bringing the off-grid community together in Chiltern.
