LONGi has just released a new solar panel designed for buildings where weight is a concern. The new Hi-MO X10 “Light Design” panel offers high performance in a lighter format—perfect for older sheds, commercial rooftops, or anywhere structural limits have ruled out solar.
Same Power, Less Weight
This panel puts out 560 watts at 24.8% efficiency, but weighs about 30% less than a standard panel. That makes a big difference on rooftops that can’t handle the extra load. The cells are based on LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 tech, which boosts energy capture and handles partial shade better than older designs.
Built for Real-World Conditions
Aside from being light, the panel is also tough. It meets all the usual standards for wind, snow, and fire safety. And because it weighs less, it can save you money on roof reinforcement and mounting gear.
Good Fit for Aussie Roofs?
Absolutely. A lot of homes and sheds across regional Australia weren’t built with solar in mind. This new design means more buildings can finally go solar without extra cost or engineering hassles.
