Sometimes, off-grid solar installers collaborate across continents. About five years ago, I received a message on Facebook from an off-grid installer in South Africa. The problem was that Ingeteam and Pylontech had just recently been paired, and to make the system work, the battery software needed to be upgraded. However, neither the South African Ingeteam support nor Pylontech had this information. I had all the necessary information because I was actually initiating this pairing with Pylontech. At that time, I was an Ingeteam distributor and handled warranty support in Australia.

My desperate South African friend found me on Facebook after seeing my installations with the same equipment working perfectly. The issue was resolved after I sent the needed files, although there was some struggle to get the right cable for connecting the computer to the battery. Anyway, the problem was fixed, and I believe the system is still working well.
